Hometown
I was raised a farm kid in Minnesota. I was lucky to attend grade school in Montevideo and Junior/Sr. years at Maynard Minnesota. They were about 10 miles apart, but since we moved across the road when my dad built our family home, it changed our school district from Monte to Maynard. So I don’t have a real home town. Our farm was the best place to be raised as we made our own soap, butter, sewed our own clothes, milked cows, and raised hogs, chickens and geese. We farmed 240 acres and lived off a family garden. I drove a tractor before I learned to drive a car and we didn’t have running water until I was 11 years old or so (you know what that means!). I wouldn’t change a thing. It was the best childhood, and I had the best parents in the whole world!

Favorite Thing About Working in Your Industry?
Working for world class clients and driving by all of the projects, communities & developments that Knudson contributed to and made into a reality across the Gulf Coast. The developments are wildly successful, sustainable and have been transformational. Knudson has made a huge difference carrying out the guiding principles of excellence and design in every development whether it is residential, commercial, retail, industrial, parks, trails, soccer fields, etc. Our projects speak for themselves and I get a kick out of driving by them; they make me smile! With over 38 years of planning experience, I am proud to have served 33 of those years in Houston.
