H-GAC Regional Goods Movement

The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) commissioned Cambridge Systematics to conduct a Regional Goods Movement Study to help better understand freight and goods movement issues and develop more appropriate transportation policies to support the economic needs of the H-GAC Study Area.

Knudson, LP acted as a subcontractor to Cambridge Systematics and handled public outreach efforts for the Study. Specific tasks included the creation of a Public Involvement Plan, identification of individual stakeholders and stakeholder groups, coordination with public and elected officials, and managing logistics for each public meeting. Three rounds of public meetings with multiple meetings per round were held over a two-year period in order to garner involvement at all stages of the Study process.
