City of Morgan’s Point Gateway

In 2009, the City of Morgan’s Point was the recipient of a beautification grant from the Houston-Galveston Area Council and the Economic Alliance – Houston Port Region. This grant was for the construction of a gateway that would identify Morgan’s Point as a member city of the San Jacinto Historic District.

The project included the design of a gateway that can be prominently viewed from Barbours Cut Blvd. The gateway features reproductions of historical art work pieces depicting events that transpired in the area during the fight for Texas’ independence. Local artisans provided their talents in the design of this project, and the project is viewed by thousands of people each day as they enter Barbour’s Cut Terminal.

In addition to design and construction document production, Knudson LP also served as project manager during the construction phase of the project.
