University of Houston, Cemo Lecture Hall

Knudson, in collaboration with BNIM Architects, has worked on the University of Houston’s first LEED-certified building and landscape design.  The Michael J. Cemo Lecture Hall and Academic Learning Center involves an innovative design concept in order to become an environmentally sensitive facility by utilizing the collection of rain water and solar harvesting to reduce the building’s overall utility costs.  The overall site master plan involves a variety of educational and learning opportunities, including the creation of a pastoral classroom and learning center.
